PTA Hosts Grandparents Luncheon

PTA spent $31.17 on Grandparents Luncheon which covered a tablecloth, floral arrangement and candies on the table to welcome and sign-in grandparents.

PTA hosts Tears and Cheers Breakfast

The PTA spent $ 72.87 on the Tears and Cheers Breakfast to welcome the incoming Kinder parents. The money was spent or various breakfast baked goods, fruit, beverages, and paper goods.

PTA Funds Recess Equipment

The PTA has awarded the school $750 to go towards the purchase of new recess equipment. The following is being purchased:
Kinder: 14 Playground Balls and 2 Hula Hoops
1st: 6 Playground Balls, 4 Footballs and 2 Hula Hoops
2nd: 2 Soccer Balls, 2 Footballs, 2 Basketballs, and 2 Hula Hoops
3rd: 2 Playground Balls, 2 Basketballs, 2 Footballs and 2 Soccer Balls
4th: 14 Playground Balls, 3 Baksetballs, 2 Soccer Balls, 2 Footballs, and 4 Hula Hoops
5th: 2 Footballs, 6 Soccer Balls, 6 Jump Ropes, and 6 Playground Balls

Workroom Supplies - Grade Level Boxes

Grade level boxes were created that contain supplies such as pencils, marker, stapler, tape, glue and scissors. The purpose of the grade level boxes is to supplement the each teachers’ workroom parents so that they are able to complete their tasks. The cost for these supply boxes was $97.70. Thanks Stacie Wollam and Kristin Parker for a great workroom training and these wonderful supply boxes.

Shade Cover Replacement

Sadly, this past summer the two shade covers on the recess playground were vandalized. At the last PTA meeting, our members voted to adjust the budget and allocate $1000 to replace the shade covers. Fern Bluff Elementary has also graciously split the cost of the replacement and will also allocate $1000 from the school's budget.

PTA Funds Buy Cameras/ CD Player

PTA has awarded Mark Kania funds($441.40) to purchase two new digital cameras. These digital cameras will be avaiable for check out for all teachers and staff. He was also awarded funds ($122.55) to replace the broken CD player on the portable sound system. This is the sound system used for things like Field Day, Bobcat Bash, and all events held in the cafeteria.
